The Uses Of Function Keys – Windows

What are the uses of function keys ?
In our keyboards there are function keys from F1 to F12. Many of us don’t know what is the use of those keys. So here in this page you are going to learn their usage.
F1 :- Opens the help screen for almost every program. What ever program we are running on window if we press F1 function key it will open help section of that particular program for example : I open Chrome browser and press F1 function key , it will open help section of Chrome which means ( https://support.google.com/chrome/?p=help&ctx=keyboard )
F2 :- Allows you to rename a selected file or folder.
F3 :- Opens a search feature for an application that is active at the moment.
F4 :- Alt + F4 closes the active window. For example : If we open a browser there can be many tabs. But if we press ALT + F4 then it will close whole browser not just one tab.
F5 :- Allows you to refresh or reload the page or document window.
F6 :- Moves the cursor to the address bar in most internet browsers.
F7 :- Used to spell check and grammar check a document in Microsoft application such as Microsoft Word.
F8 :- Used to access the boot menu in Windows when turning on the computer. Press F8 key when your system is booting then only it will work , this will not work when OS already loaded.
F9 :- Refreshes a document in Microsoft Word and sends and receives e-mails in Microsoft Outlook.
F10 :- Activates the menu bar of an open application. Shift + F10 is the same as right clicking.
F11 :- Enters and exits fullscreen mode in internet browsers.
F12 :- Opens the save as dialog box in Microsoft Word.
